As the righteous Phil Collins once said - One More Night

And what a classic that song was.

Well, we are now down to our final night for MARYMASSACRE and things have went smashing.  Great audiences and very positive responses (whispers have begun to a potential tour so we will keep you posted!).

A wee story to keep you bemused:  picture the scene - its a psychic tent seance.  Jo is calling out, invoking the spirits when CRASH SMASH SCREAM.  Yes, its no in the script but the festoon lighting has hurtled down from the ceiling and crashed onto the floor.

My wee cousin (who was in that night) thought we had the same tech team as 'Phantom Of The Opera' and commented on the effect.  The smattering of juices that were fermenting out my body revealed it was not a planned event.  However the show must go on and all that nonsense - so it did!  No injuries, no insurance claims, no clean underwear for me!

Ah well only one more to go.  Hopefully we'll see some familiar faces down there tonight!

Ciao for now

Big Mother's Picnic

And its Friday of week one already - how did that happen?

As is always the way, what starts off as a show with 'no props to source thank you' has become a mammoth shopping list (and of course the rather dubious conversation as to whether to buy out of Asda or M&S). Yes, it appears that Marymassacre is going to be a lovely wee day for a picnic: which means that poor Josie and Kim will be, by the time the show opens, ready to boak if they have to drink another glass of Schloer or eat more pate.

Julie's also been running like Linford (in his lunchbox days) down to the HAC to work with the local cast who are playing the cameo roles in the show. Its all going tickety-boo, stress-free, no over-time and everybody is having a lovely time. However, we're just about to have a budget meeting - will the candy-floss machine survive the credit-crunch? Will that coffee bought from Cranberries on the first day break the budget? Have I remembered to budget for a van to take the set back and forth? Time will tell, and as always, lessons will be learned!

I'm off for that meeting - we should have the trailer for Marymassacre by the weekend for you all.

Tatty-bye for now
Johnny x

PS Cups of coffee consumed yesterday - only 2! We're all now becoming tea-jennies instead.
